200/300 Yard Range Rules

Use of the 200 and 300 yard ranges is restricted to members with written permission of the Board of Directors or Range Chairman. The combination of the gate lock will be provided when range access is approved.

Place the 200/300 YARD RANGE IN USE sign on the range gate before using the 200 or 300 yard range. Lock the gate to the post with the chain and lock provided to prevent vehicles from entering the range.

No handgun shooting on 200 or 300 yard range, except with written permission of Board of Directors or Range Chairman.

The 200/300 yard range may not be used when any of the 25, 50, or 100 yard ranges, or the archery range are in use.

When the 200/300 yard range is in use no other shooters may enter the range except to the 200/300 yard firing position in use. If other shooters wish to use other ranges, the shooters on the 200/300 range may finish their shot strings before closing the 200/300 yard range. Be courteous and try to finish in a reasonable time - within approximately 15 minutes of the request.

Only stations 7 and 8 may be used on either the 200 or 300 yard ranges.

Only target frames 7 and 8 may be used on either the 200 or 300 yard ranges.

Cross-firing is not allowed (i.e. do not fire from station 7 to target 8).

Be especially careful to keep the firearm pointed downrange at the berm at all times.

Keep guns unloaded and actions open at all times, except when on the firing line ready to shoot.

Fire only at targets posted on target boards provided. Do not fire at targets on the ground a richochet is possible and is always dangerous.

Stay behind firing line (red line) when others are shooting.

Keep guns grounded and actions open when anyone is forward of the firing line.

Hearing and eye protection are required.

Police range after shooting (that is, pick up expended brass and ammunition boxes, take down and dispose of used targets, etc.).

Lower and latch the target frame behind the berm.

Remove the 200/300 YARD RANGE IN USE sign from the range gate, and unlock the gate before signing out or leaving the range.
